An international conference was organized by the department of Tamil on 03.03.2018 on the topic “Eternal Footprints of Tamil Literature”. The Conference was inaugurated by Dr.Subhashini Kanagasundaram, Tamil conventional Foundation, Germany. Mr. T.K.Dhamaodharan, President of our college delivered the presidential address. Mr.I.Selvam HOD of Tamil & Vice Principal, welcomed the gathering. Dr.C.Kumarasamy Secretary and Correspondent of our college delivered the inaugural address. Mr.C.Palanisamy Treasurer, Dr.P.Logambal Principal felicitated the gathering.
Dr.Subhashini Kanagasundaram, President, Tamil Conventional Foundation, Germany, in her inaugural address inspired the staff and students with her innovative and motivating speech and advised the students and staff to improve the knowledge of ancient Tamil Literature and increase the ability and efficiency of knowledge of ancient Tamil Literature among students. She also stated, that she has done lot of work in Tamil Literature in many countries and in Germany where she is living now.
Dr.Renugadevi, Tamil Conventional Foundation, Madurai, delivered the special address. Dr.P.Chandra, Joint Director, Tamil Development Corporation, Erode, reviewed the conference. Thiru. R.Maheshwaran Librarian, Kandi, Srilanka explained the theme of the conference.
Five parallel sessions were conducted by inviting various professors of Tamil from neighboring colleges. All the paper presenters presented their papers in this session.
More than 700 students participated in the conference and 200 students and staff from outside college. More than 150 resource papers were presented by the various college students and staff members. This international conference inspired the students of Tamil Literature and many students and staff members have achieved valuable knowledge in Tamil Literature through this conference. This is an other success for the Tamil Department of our College. In the evening, Dr.D.Prathiban, Librarian UVa Wellesa University, Srilanka delivered valedictory address. Certificates were distributed to all the participants. After national anthem the conference came to an end at 4.00. p.m.
24th Sports Day, validation of literary association, college student’s union council and 24th college Annual Day were celebrated on 24th Feb 2018 in the college campus. Mr.Monaharan, S.I of Police, Arachalur was the special invitee for the sports day.
24.02.2018 morning sports day was conducted & Mr.Monaharan of police, Arachalur participated as guest and lighted Olympic torch and declared open the sports meet. Many events like running athletic, yoga, meditation, pyramid and dance were performed by the students. In the morning session in Tamil and English literary association Mrs.M.Ezlilarasi, Thiruvannamalai participated as speaker “Mannukketha Ponnu”. She gave Tamil literary speech eloquently and students were much inspired and motivated on Tamil literary by her speech. She has also distributed prizes for the winner of competition conducted by the literary association.
In the evening 24th annual day of our college was celebrated very impressively Dr.K.S.Palanisamy IAS Tiruppur collector participated as chief guest of the function. The collector delivered innovative and informative speech among the students. He motivated all the students of our college to improve their bright future and increase the general knowledge on various features.
He honored our staff members and non-teaching staff by distributing the gifts and presentation. After vote of thanks the function came to an end at 6.00 PM. The students of our college performed cultural events with more attractive manner.
One-day International Seminar with the topic, “ Re-inventing Resources for Research ” was recently organized by the Department of Library on 07.10.2018 at Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women, Arachalur, Erode (Tamil Nadu) in Association with Society for the Advancement of Library and Information Science (SALIS). Around 300 delegates from various states participated in the event.
Dr.S.C.Kumaresan, Manager of Libraries & Information services, ARA Institute of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand was the Chief Guest during this event. The Keynote of his address includes “The Importance of Library in the development of higher education. World Wide Knowledge and resources was conceived by the researchers through the college Library. The development of Information Technology adds value for the bloom of world Knowledge”.
Dr.S.C.Kumaresan was the resource person of the International Seminar. He enlightened the PhD scholars on the ways of the Perspective of Research with reference to the International Standards. Dr.B.Jayapragash, Department of Library and Information Science, Bharathidhasan University, Trichirappalli was the resource person during the session on Measuring Citation and Research Writing.
Management member of the Navarasam College participated and graced the occasion. Mr.D.Mercy Lydia, Chairman SALIS Erode and Mr.Manase Prabhu, Secretary SALIS Erode Chapter and Librarian, K.S.Rangasamy College of Arts and Science, Tiruchengode were the special invitees. Ms.S.Subha, Librarian/Organizing Secretary welcomed the gathering. Dr.D.Kamalaveni, Principal of Vellalar College for Women was the Chief Guest of the Valedictory Session. She delivered the Valedictory address & distributed the Certificates to the Participants. Mr.M.Kanagaraj, Treasurer SALIS Erode Chapter and Librarian, Knowledge Institute of Technology, Salem proposed the vote of thanks.

Navarasam Arts and Science College for Women, Arachalur Department Of Commerce was organized an “International Symposium on Topic of A Climate Change: Causes And Impact On Demonetization” With the kind support of Management and Principal on 12th September 2017 from 10.00am to 4.00pm.
The main purpose of the symposium is to equip students in updating latest economic trends and changing scenario in the field of commerce. Nearly 350 students from various colleges participated in the symposium, which was the most exciting part of this symposium. Students and faculties get exposed to wide range of topics relating to demonetization.
The symposium was inaugurated at the hands of Dr.A.Tamilarasu Ph.D, Associate Professor, Department Of Co-Operative ICDS, Ambo University, Ambo-Ethiopia, East Africa, was the overseas speaker on that event and spoke on the area of “Historical Perspective of Demonetization in India and Abroad”. The participants also asked queries about demonetization and the session became interactive.
Dr.C.Vadivel,Principal, Bharathiar University Arts And Science College,Modakurichi. He also took brief review of current issues of demonetization.The information regarding causes and impact on demonetization,was the focused area of his speech.
After the lunch break The second session was conducted by Dr.D.Kumaresan,Principal ,Laxminarayana Arts And Science College For Women,Dharmapuri. He provided valuable information regarding “Sectoral Implications of Demonetization”. He gave useful insights to it.
The third session began with the Mr.S.Muralikrishnan,Ex.Branch Head & Asst.Vice President,Strategic & Business Consultant,Banglore.The information regarding “Demonetization of India –Boon or Bane”.After this excellent speech, discussion went on regarding demonetization.The questionnaire was also conducted by him to settle the queries of the participants regarding many areas of discussions. This session has got good response as many participants have asked the doubts and also got satisfactory answers for the same.
After this wonderful session, certificates were distributed to all the participants in the valedictory function. In the end Mrs.G.Esther vijakala,HOD of commerce, thanked all the respected speakers on behalf of commerce department and asked for the suggestions if any, from the participants.similarly she also thanked all the members who actively participated in the symposium and encouraged the organizers.
