Nurturing holistic development through NSS, RRC, and YRC programs
Every student shall participate compulsory for a period of not less than two years (4 semesters) in any one of the above programmers.
The grading shall be incorporated in the Mark sheet to be issued at the end of the appropriate semester (4th or 5th or 6th semester). Handicapped students who are unable to participate in any of the above activities shall be required to take a test in the theoretical aspects of any one of the above 2 fields and be certified accordingly.
NSS Special camp of this academic year was conducted in and around the areas of Ammankovil and Sivagiri (25.12.2017-31.12.2017). The camp was well planned with Yoga and Prayer in the early morning followed by field activities, motivational and awareness programmes, workshops and cultural activities in the evening.
The RRC is a voluntary on-campus intervention program for students. The Programmes organized by RRC are aimed to promote the knowledge of the students in the interrelated areas like voluntary blood donation, HIV & AIDS, drug abuse, etc.
The club members will also be trained to create awareness about HIV/AIDS and other health-related issues, fostering a responsible and health-conscious student community.
YRC is a non-religious, non-political and voluntary organization which teaches people to maintain equality and communal harmony by involving students in various social programs and activities.
There was a Red-Cross unit in our college from 1997. The main motto of our Red-Cross society is to make peace and love among the people all over the world. All dedicated students are eligible to join the Red-Cross unit.
The Red-Cross unit volunteers are ready to give their service for the betterment of our society. The objective of our college Red-cross is to engage students in humanitarian activities.
